  15. who was U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1962 to 1966;
  16. in Jupiter, Fla. Kohler, whose tour in Moscow began only weeks
  17. before the U.S. and the Soviet Union went eyeball to eyeball in
  18. the Cuban missile crisis, acted as a conduit for top-secret
  19. exchanges between J.F.K. and Nikita Khrushchev. He was the
  20. author of several books about the Soviet Union.
